Welcome to TaskWhisper (“we”, “us”, “our”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights when using our mobile application and related services (the “App”). By using TaskWhisper, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

  • Account details (e.g., name, email) when you register or contact support.
  • Tasks & notes you create, including voice entries (converted to text).
  • Payments and subscription info processed via Stripe processor (we do not store card numbers).
  • Feedback, support requests, and in-app preferences.

1.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device & app data (device model, OS/app version, language, timezone).
  • Usage & diagnostics via Firebase Analytics analytics and Sentry error monitoring.
  • Push tokens for notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging / APNs).
  • Network metadata (IP address) for security and fraud prevention.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the App and its features.
  • Create tasks from your voice/text; schedule reminders and notifications.
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe.
  • Analyze usage to enhance performance, stability, and UX.
  • Secure our services, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal Bases (GDPR/EEA/UK)

  • Performance of a contract (to deliver the App you requested).
  • Legitimate interests (analytics, service improvement, fraud prevention).
  • Consent (e.g., for push notifications or marketing where required).
  • Legal obligation (tax/accounting compliance).

4. Sharing & Processors

We do not sell your data. We share it only with trusted processors to provide the App:

  • Stripe (payments & subscriptions)
  • Google Firebase (Analytics, Cloud Messaging, optional Auth)
  • Sentry (error/crash monitoring)
  • Cloud hosting and storage providers as necessary

These providers process data under their own privacy terms and are required to protect it.

5. Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide the App and meet legal obligations. You can request deletion at any time; once confirmed, we aim to remove personal data within 30 days, subject to lawful retention requirements.

6. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including HTTPS/TLS encryption, access controls, and secure storage. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to processing of your data, and to withdraw consent where applicable. To exercise rights, contact us at support@taskwhisper.net.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA) may request disclosure or deletion of personal information and opt out of “sale”/“sharing” (we do not sell personal data).

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that a child has provided data, we will delete it.

9. International Transfers

We may process data in countries outside your own (e.g., the United States and EU). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above indicates the latest version. Significant changes will be notified in-app or via email.
